Namib Desert Lodge

Namib Desert Lodge is situated 60 kilometres north of Sesriem. It’s the ideal place to stay in Namibia if you’re visiting Sossusvlei, Dead Vlei, the Sesriem Canyons and Namib Naukluft Park. The Delight Hotel

Damara Mopane Lodge

Damara Mopane Lodge is situated close to Khorixas which lies enroute to the famous rock paintings and engravings in the Twyfelfontein area. It boasts modern architecture, constructed in a semi-circle of interlinking pathways that lead to a lavish swimming pool and entertainment area at its centre. 

The spacious ensuite chalets are intricately decorated and fully-equipped for comfort and convenience. They each have their own vegetable garden, complete with bright yellow sunflowers and crazy scarecrows. The whole lodge exudes a festive desert spirit, reflecting the warmth and rich culture of the Damaraland. 

Children of all ages are welcome at Damara Mopane Lodge. 

Etosha Safari Lodge

61 double rooms and family rooms, sleeping up to 150 adult guests

Etosha Safari Lodge is located 10 kilometres from Anderson Gate, making it the ideal location for a safari tour of Etosha National Park. It sits perched on a hilltop offering panoramic views of the vast savanna plains. 

Each spacious ensuite chalet is fully-equipped for comfort and convenience, including air-conditioning and mosquito nets. At the main lodge, facilities include a great restaurant and bar area which leads out onto a stunning wooden deck. It’s the ideal spot for sundowners.  


Day 1: Windhoek - Kalahari Desert (282 Kilometres)

Guests are collected from Windhoek International Airport or a hotel within the city precinct. Depart for your accommodation in the Kalahari Desert, veering eastwards just before Mariental. Depending on what time we arrive, guests have the option of going on a sundowner dune drive with a guide (for your own cost). 

Overnight at Kalahari Anib Lodge. Dinner served in the lodge restaurant.

Day 2: Kalahari Desert - Sossusvlei

After a hearty breakfast, depart for a fascinating drive to Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert. We pass the majestic Namib Naukluft Mountains near Büllsport which is renowned forits striking scenery.   

The Kalahari Desert is a large basin-like plain of the interior plateau of southern Africa which occupies almost all of Botswana, the eastern third of Namibia and the
northernmost part of the Northern Cape province in South Africa. In the southwest region, it merge with the Namib which is the coastal desert of Namibia. 

Overnight in Namib Desert Lodge. Dinner is served in the lodge restaurant.

Day 3: Sossusvlei

Heading out after breakfast, the day is spend exploring the Sossusvlei. This includes an exhilarating climb up Big Daddy which is the highest sand dune in the world;
followed by a visit to the Dead Vlei which is known for its awe-inspiring grove of ancient camelthorn trees.  

The afternoon is spent exploring the rugged Sesriem Canyon. Enjoy a sunset dune drive in the Gondwana Namib Park.

Day 4: Sossusvlei -Swakopmund (300 Kilometres)

Today, we drive through Namib-Naukluft National Park to Swakopmund which is 35 kms north of Walvis Bay. The first stop is the desert outpost of Solitaire, followed by a quick visit to the point that marks the Tropic of Capricorn and a meandering drive through the Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons. 

Overnight at The Delight Hotel in Swakopmund. Guests eat out in the evening at one of the many popular restaurants in town.

Day 5: Swakopmund

Swakopmund is the “Playground Capital of Namibia” and your day is spent enjoying any one of a number of popular activities; ranging from a Living Desert tour to kayaking in Walvis Bay lagoon, dolphin cruises, sandboarding, quad-biking and skydiving. 

Overnight at The Delight Hotel. Dinner at one of the popular restaurants in town (for you own account).

Day 6: Swakopmund - Damaraland (323 Kilometres)

Leave after breakfast to travel northwards to the Damaraland region. We travel via Henties Bay along the Skeleton Coast before heading inland via Uis and the Brandberg massif. This area is renowned for its rock art paintings which are found in the world-renowned Twyfelfontein area.   

Other stops along the way include the Organ Pipes, Burnt Mountain and the Petri Forest. Arrive at your lodge late afternoon as the sun is setting, casting its golden glow over the tranquil desert sand dunes. 

Overnight at Damara Mopane Lodge. Dinner served in the lodge restaurant.

Day 7: Damaraland

Taking a break from long days driving through the Namib Desert, we spend a relaxing day at The Delight Hotel and enjoying some of the activities on offer. This includes an afternoon guided nature walk to the sunset deck where you’ll enjoy sundowner drinks and an exceptional view of the vast expanse of desert landscape. 

Overnight at Damara Mopane Lodge. Dinner is served in the lodge restaurant.

Day 8: Damaraland - Etosha National Park (200 Kilometres)

After breakfast we depart for Etosha National Park, travelling via Outjo. We arrive in Etosha in time for a glorious afternoon safari tour and sundowners. Enjoy an idyllic night, dinning under the stars and listening to the sounds of southern Africa’s finest wilderness area. 

Overnight in Etosha Safari Camp. Dinner served at the lodge.

Day 9: Etosha National Park

The day is spent exploring the area on a full-day safari tour of Etosha National Park. This is no doubt one of the main reasons you’re visiting Namibia with a promise of spectacular scenery, outstanding wildlife sightings, incredible birds and the opportunity to see its famous salt pans. 

Overnight in Etosha Safari Camp. Dinner is served at the lodge restaurant.

Day 10: Etosha National Park - Windhoek (405 Kilometres)

Wake up early to enjoy a hearty breakfast before we depart for the long journey southwards to Windhoek. We stop enroute at Okahandja’s popular woodcarver’s market.  

Guests are dropped off late afternoon at Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek or a hotel within the city precinct. You need to book a scheduled flight out of Windhoek departing after 19h00 in case there is any delay on the way back to Windhoek.
