Madikwe Hills is a 5-star safari lodge that lies nestled in a stunning cluster of ancient Tamboti trees in the prestigious Madikwe Game Reserve. The reserve is located in a malaria-free region in the north-western corner of South Africa and lies on the border of Botswana in a transitional zone between the dry, arid Kalahari Desert and lush Lowveld.
Each luxury suite at Madikwe Hills is stylishly decorated and has unique features such as a private glass-fronted deck, its own plunge pool, a gas fireplace and underfloor heating and a stunning outdoor rock shower. The popular bush dinners served under the stars are prepared by an internationally-renowned chef and are a gastronomic delight.
Children 10 years and older are welcome at Madikwe Hills Game Lodge.
Guests are picked up early in Johannesburg and driven to Madikwe Game Reserve. It’s approximately 4.5 hours to the game reserve and we arrive at Madikwe Hills late morning. Settle into your luxury suite; relax and freshen up before it’s time to depart for the late-afternoon game drive. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Return to the lodge after an exciting night drive and enjoy a starlit dinner at the boma around a firepit on warm evenings, or fine-dining cuisine in the elegant dining room.
Overnight at Madikwe Hills Game Lodge in Madikwe Private Game Reserve.

Wake up early for hot beverages and then depart for a 3-hour sunrise game drive. Return to the lodge for breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing; lie around the swimming pool or enjoy a spa pamper session in the luxury of your air-conditioned suite. Be ready to depart after High Tea for the late-afternoon game drive and return for dinner well after dark.

Wake up early for hot beverages and then depart for your last game drive in Madikwe. Return for a hearty breakfast; pack up and be ready to leave mid-morning for a private transfer back to Johannesburg. You’ll be dropped off at your accommodation in Johannesburg at approximately 17h00.
