Eco Camp is located right next to Shaw’s Gate which is the main entrance to the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. This premier safari destination is one of 18 unfenced private game reserves that make up the Greater Kruger National Park, and shares a 50-kilometer unfenced boundary with the iconic Kruger Park. The region is renowned for its outstanding biodiversity and incredible Big 5 wildlife and bird sightings.
The eco-friendly camp offers guests an authentic safari experience in stunning bushveld surrounds with easy access to Sabi Sands, Kruger National Park and Hoedspruit. Tydon Eco Camp is rustic and charming, with classic safari tents that are fully-equipped for comfort and convenience.
Living ‘off the grid’ and striving to make the least impact on the environment, Tydon Eco Camp powers its facilities with gas and solar electricity. It’s blissfully quiet and peaceful, with evenings spent dining under the stars around a roaring fire at an outdoor boma.
Children 6 years and older are welcome at Tydon Eco Camp. Accommodation suitable for children 6-12 years old is subject to availability.
Guests are collected from a designated airport. The route from Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province is about 6 hours long, and takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region. Stop for snacks and refreshments along the way.
Arrive at Tydon Eco Camp mid-day. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in the Greater Kruger Park.
Overnight at Tydon Eco Camp. Guests dine under the stars at the outdoor boma.

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the Kruger National Park. Return to your lodge for brunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing in the safari camp until it’s time to depart for a sunset game drive back in the Kruger Park.
Overnight at Tydon Eco Camp. Guests dine under the stars at the outdoor boma.
Includes: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
After a leisurely breakfast, we depart for the return trip to Johannesburg. Guests will be taken to Skukuza or Nelspruit airport if required. The journey back to Johannesburg takes you via the historic towns of Graskop and Sabie on the famous Panorama Route.
Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon; drop off at OR Tambo International. Please confirm exact timings with your MoAfrika representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.
