The afternoon is spent exploring the highlights of Port Elizabeth, including the Donkin Memorial Reserve. The site pays homage to Sir Rufane Donkin who was the Acting Governor of the Cape at the time. He changed the name of Algoa Bay to Port Elizabeth, in memory of his wife.
Shortly after the arrival of British settlers in the Bay, Donkin had a pyramid of stone built on the hill above the harbour and established a reserve of about 4 hectares around its base. It was declared a National Monument in 1938.

Once settled into your accommodation in Knysna, your guide takes you on a tour of the Knysna Heads and drops you off at the popular Knysna Waterfront where you have the choice of a few fabulous restaurants for dinner (for your own account). Overnight stay at The Graywood Hotel in Knysna.
Start your day with a delicious breakfast on the hotel patio and then depart for Oudtshoorn. You have the option of a tour of the Knysna Elephant Park (not included in rate). The drive from Oudtshoorn to the scenic wonders of the Garden Route takes you over a dramatic mountain range known as Swartberg Mountain Pass.
Your day in Oudtshoorn includes a visit to a working ostrich farm, followed by a tour of the world-famous Cango Caves. This is an elaborate underground labyrinth, complete with narrow stone passageways and vast caverns dripping with stalactites.

Early wake-up for breakfast and then depart for Mossel Bay which is a scenic 1-hour drive from Oudtshoorn. Enjoy a 2-hour safari tour of Botlierskop Private Game Reserve which stretches over 4 200 hectares of mountains and grasslands and is home to an abundance of wildlife and birds.
Return to Cape Town where guests are either dropped off at Cape Town International Airport or at their hotel/guest lodge.
