The 4-day Hoyo Hoyo safari tour takes guests to the heart of the Kruger National Park to the Mluwati Concession. Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is one of three
luxury safari lodges in the concession and promises guests luxurious accommodation in a spectacular setting and an outstanding safari experience.
The private concessions within the iconic Kruger National Park are areas of land where carefully selected operators have a license to offer all the benefits of a luxury safari lodge on a private reserve. Guests staying at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge enjoy game drives in an open safari vehicle within the private concession as well as the Kruger Park itself.
Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge lies nestled in a lush riverine forest on the banks of the Mluwati River in the 10 000 hectare Mluwati Concession. The private
concession is unfenced pristine wilderness located in the heart of the Kruger National Park, located on an ancient elephant route.
The unique safari lodge exudes warmth and stylish charm with luxurious fittings and 5-star facilities, including an award-winning spa. Each earthy ensuite Beehive chalet is airconditioned and beautifully decorated in rich earthy tones. A massive King-size bed, outdoor shower and an antique bath as well as a private viewing deck are just a few of the luxurious features of the Tsonga-style suites.
The Shangaan-themed spa treatment facility is superb as well as the glorious outdoor entertainment area complete with a sparkling pool and open-air boma for starlit dinners.
Two shuttle buses depart each day from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg; 06h45 and 10h45.
It’s a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge in the Kruger National Park; We take the scenic route through the historic towns of the Panorama Route and to the town of Hoedspruit with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches.
Arrive mid-day in the Mluwati Concession and into Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Sundowners at a special vantage point.
A 3-course dinner under the stars at the outdoor boma at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Camp (weather dependent).
Included: Sundowner drinks and a 3-course dinner with local wines, beers and soft drinks
A perfect day of relaxation and pampering at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge; sandwiched between an exciting early morning and late afternoon Big 5 safari tour of the Kruger National Park.
Tea and coffee before you depart for the sunrise game drive in an open safari vehicle; light informal Brunch back at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge and an afternoon of relaxation before departing for the evening game drive; sundowners at a special vantage point and a delicious 3-course dinner under the stars in the outdoor boma.

Wake up early for tea and coffee and then depart for a sunrise safari tour of the Mluwati Concession. Enjoy a light breakfast back at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge before checking out of your chalet.
You’ll be driven to Hoedspruit mid-morning to catch the shuttle bus back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Arrive in Johannesburg between 17h30 and 18h00, depending on traffic.

If you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h30 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
