Walking and canoe safaris, river boat cruises, glorious sundowners and even swimming in some places… it’s a safari experience of a lifetime.

This tour is for adventure travellers happy to stay in rustic eco-camps in paradise settings, where the focus is on spectacular scenery, outstanding sightings and idyllic days exploring one of the most beautiful wilderness regions in southern Africa.

Xaxaba Mobile Camp

Xaxaba Mobile Camp is located on a private island between Eagle Island and Chief’s Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Botswana. The mobile camp moves between 3 different locations on the island every few days. It’s operated by a private safari camp from the local Xaxaba community.

Guests stay in canvas safari tents with an ensuite bathroom, bucket shower and eco-bush toilet. This is a rustic camp for adventure travellers where the focus is on incredible scenery, outstanding wildlife and community spirit.

Activities of Xaxaba Mobile Camp include guided walks on Chiefs Island, mokoro excursions in traditional canoes and river boat trips. Fishing is optional; bring your own fishing gear. A visit to the Xaxaba community village is recommended.

Mboma Island Camp

Mboma Island Camp is located in a remote area on the tip of Moremi Game Reserve, a pristine protected wilderness area situated north of Maun and borders the Chobe National Park in the east. The private island is situated on the floodplains of the meeting point of Okavango Delta’s fresh waters and Moremi’s vast savanna plains.

Mboma Island Camp accommodates 8 people in four comfortable dome tents. Each tent has stretchers, bedding, bucket shower and an eco-bush toilet. It’s a rustic camp but comfortable.

Daily activities at Mboma Island Camp include canoe and river boat cruise. Various motorboat cruises operate from Mboma Boat Station. Fishing is optional; bring your own fishing gear.
