Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge is a luxury ecotourism destination that’s located in Mluwati Concession in central Kruger National Park. It’s architectural design isinspired by the rich cultural heritage of the local Tsonga tribe and you experience their vibrant lifestyle through its colourful décor elements, unique spa treatments and fascinating storytelling.
Guests have exclusive access to the private concession as well as unrestricted access to the public roads in the Kruger Park. Mluwati Concession is one of only a few private concessions in the national park, in a protected wilderness area that’s renowned for its outstanding biodiversity and incredible Big 5 sightings.
Two shuttle buses depart each day from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg; 06h45 and 10h45.
It’s a 5-6 hour drive from Johannesburg to Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge in the Kruger National Park; We take the scenic route through the historic towns of the Panorama Route and to the town of Hoedspruit with scheduled stops for bathroom breaks and leg stretches.
Arrive mid-day in the Mluwati Concession and into Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge. Enjoy a light meal and freshen up before departing late afternoon for a game drive on an open safari vehicle. Sundowners at a special vantage point.
A 3-course dinner under the stars at the outdoor boma at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Camp (weather dependent).
Included: Sundowner drinks and a 3-course dinner with local wines, beers and soft drinks
Start your day early with a gorgeous sunrise game drive. Safaris are conducted in the private Mluwati Concession with unlimited access to the public roads of the Kruger National Park. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle.
You can look forward to a hearty breakfast after the morning game drive, relaxing at the pool or in your luxury suite, a light lunch on the viewing deck and High Tea before setting off into the bushveld for the evening game drive; returning for an authentic Tsonga feast and evening entertainment.
Overnight in a luxury suite at Hoyo Hoyo Safari Lodge.
Includes: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Wake up early for tea and coffee and then depart for a sunrise safari tour of the Mluwati Concession. Enjoy a light breakfast back at Hoyo Hoyo Tsonga Lodge before checking out of your chalet.
You’ll be driven to Hoedspruit mid-morning to catch the shuttle bus back to OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
Arrive in Johannesburg between 17h30 and 18h00, depending on traffic.

Due to the lodges location, we do suggest contacting us and enquiring about flying into the Hoedspruit or Skukuza Airport – 50min flight time.

If you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h30 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
