Day 1: Kampala - Jinja - Sipi Falls (275 Kilometers)

Guests collected at an agreed destination; either Entebbe International Airport or a hotel/guest house within the city precinct. Your journey to Sipi Falls in eastern Uganda is broken with a visit to Sezibwa Falls which forms part of the Kabaka trail and a stopover in Jinja to see the source of the Nile and the Speke and Gandhi monuments. 

Lunch in Jinja. This is a town in southern Uganda, located on the shore of Lake Victoria. The source of the Nile at Coronation Park is marked by a garden and a monument honoring British explorer John Hanning Speke. 

Continue mid-afternoon to Sipi Falls. This magnificent natural wonder is a series of 3 waterfalls that lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park close to Uganda’s border with Kenya. The Sipi Falls area is the starting point for hikes up Mount Elgon. 

Overnight at Sipi River Lodge (budget accommodation) or Lacam Lodge (luxury accommodation) close to Sipi Falls. Dinner served in the lodge restaurant.

Day 2: Sipi Falls - Soroti (135 Kilometers)

 Early wake up and breakfast at hotel restaurant. Enjoy a leisurely hike to Sipi Falls. Lunch at your lodge and early afternoon spent exploring the site of the Nyero Rock Paintings. These are found in historic caves thought to be over 2 000 years old. 

Drive in air-conditioned vehicle to Soroti; arrive early evening and book into Landmark Hotel or Soroti Hotel. Dinner served in the hotel restaurant.  

Soroti is a town in Uganda that lies close to Lake Kyoga. It’s renowned for its incredible volcanic rockformations.

Day 3: Soroti - Kidepo National Park (240 Kilometers)

Early wake-up (6h00) for breakfast. Spend a few hours enjoying a rock climbing activity and/or exploring the magical rock formations of Soroti. Depart late morning for Kidepo Valley National Park, stopping along the route for a light lunch.  

Overnight at Savannah Lodge or Apoka Lodge. Dinner in hotel restaurant.

Day 4: Kidepo Valley National Park

Early wake-up for sunrise safari tour of Kidepo Valley National Park. This is one of the most isolated protected wilderness areas in Uganda and renowned for its outstanding fauna and flora. 

Return late morning to your lodge for lunch and spend the afternoon visiting the Karamojong community to meet the local people of Uganda and learn more about their traditional way of life. Overnight at Savannah Lodge or Apoka Lodge. Dinner in hotel restaurant.

Day 5: Kidepo Valley National Park - Kampala (410 Kilometers)

Your last day is spent driving back to Kampala. It’s a long drive broken with interesting stopovers at Gulu to see the Karuma Falls. For an extra fee, you can charter a private helicopter to take you to Entebbe Airport. 

Lunch at a viewpoint along the way. Arrive in Kampala late afternoon; drop off at Entebbe Airport or a hotel/guest house within the city precinct.
