Tydon Bush Camp is located in the heart of Sabi Sand Game Reserve, a world-renowned safari destination that shares a 50-kilometre unfenced boundary with the iconic Kruger National Park. Sabi Sands is one of 18 private game reserves that make up the Greater Kruger National Park which is regarded as one of the finest protected wildlife regions in southern Africa.
The exclusive bush camp offers guests an authentic safari experience in stunning bushveld surrounds with easy access to the Kruger Park and Hoedspruit. Guests stay in luxury safari-style tents that are perched on wooden decks, nestled in beautiful bushveld surrounds. Each classic safari tent is fully-equipped for comfort and convenience.
Children must be 16 years and older to stay at Tydon Bush Camp.
Guests are collected from a designated airport. The route from Johannesburg to the Greater Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province is about 6 hours long, and takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region. Stop for snacks and refreshments along the way.
Arrive in Sabi Sand Game Reserve mid-day. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Sabi Sands.
Overnight at Tydon Bush Camp. Guests dine under the stars at the outdoor boma.

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Sabi Sands. Return to camp for brunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing until it’s time for a leisurely sunset game in Sabi Sands.
Day 4 is different because it starts off with a 3-hour guided bush walk with an armed professional game ranger. This is an incredible opportunity to experience the beautiful bushveld from a different perspective. Your evening game drive is in an open safari vehicle.

After a leisurely breakfast, we depart for the return trip to Johannesburg. Guests will be taken to Skukuza or Nelspruit airport if required. The journey back to Johannesburg takes you via the historic towns of Graskop and Sabie on the famous Panorama Route.
Arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon; drop off at OR Tambo International. Please confirm exact timings with your MoAfrika representative before booking a connecting domestic or international flight.

Guests are collected and dropped off at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. By special request, guests can be collected from their accommodation in Johannesburg or Pretoria for an additional cost.

Guests can also be collected from Hoedspruit Airport or Skukuza Airport in the Kruger National Park (pre-arranged collection).

If you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h00 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
Flights to and from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and Hoedspruit Airport or Skukuza can be arranged by MoAfrika Tours as a separate cost to the tour rate. The flying time is approximately 1 hour.
