Description

It joins the other Six wonders which includes the Great Barrier Reef, Grand Canyon, Aurora Borealis, Paricutin volcano, the harbour of Rio de Janeiro and Mount Everest. The Falls is the world’s largest waterfall, at 1 708 metres wide and 108 metres high.

During the wet rainy season, every minute over 5 million cubic metres of water from the mighty Zambezi River pour over the edge into the Batoka Gorge below. A guided tour of the Falls takes you through the Victorian Falls Rainforest which forms part of the Zambezi National Park.

You’ll stand in awe of the towering cloud of spray; you need a raincoat so you don’t get soaked. Conversations are drowned out by the thunderous roar of the Zambezi River plunging into the Batoka Gorge. Shearwater Rainforest Café is the ideal place to end your waterfall tour for drinks and a light lunch before heading off to bungee jump off the historic Victoria Falls Bridge or your next exciting adventure.
