Skyscrapers. Fast city life. Hundreds of restaurants, bars and shops, all with their own identity. Johannesburg is for now, Johannesburg is booming!
Would you like to get to know Johannesburg better? Our Johannesburg tour is the perfect introduction!
On this half day tour we take you to the top attractions Johannesburg has to offer. Some of the areas our tour visits are Hillbrow, Constitution Hill, Central Johannesburg, Braamfontein and Newtown.
We start your introduction to Jozi with a good view of the impressive 269 metre Telkom Tower, as seen on many postcards of Johannesburg. We then enter the inspiring Constitution Hill – and Court (when not in session). Political activists like Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi were once held here. During a tour inside you will learn about some of the legal history of Johannesburg.
On our way to Newtown we pass by the longest southern African bridge, named Nelson Mandela bridge. At Mary Fitzgerald Square you can walk on the Jazz Walk of Fame.
We end this tour with a visit to the Carlton Centre, also known as the ‘Top of Africa’. There a lift will elevate you 50 stories for an amazing and total view over the city. In short, this tour offers you a unique Johannesburg experience at an affordable rate. Click Here to see all our Johannesburg day tours

I booked the half-day small group Johannesburg tour and ended up lucking out and having a private guide for the day, as no one else had booked. My guide, Clemence, picked me up right on time and was a safe driver. He was super informative and seemed to tailor his information to my interests. Constitution Hill was excellent, though this is run through the site and not through Mo'Afrika. My tour guide there was outstanding. Clemence also drove me over to Maboneng to see the new arts district & that was very enjoyable. Overall, I really enjoyed the day and it was money well spent. I felt like I got a good overview of JoBurg with a knowledgeable guide.
Cape Town cold not reach me after a 6 week stay, wich Johannesburg did with me, after one day beeing there and after a 5 houre guide tour with Divan from URBAN TOURS. I felt in love with that beautiful city. Thank you for letting me see that City throw your eys. I've seen a City who grows up again to there roots and is going to be a World City. I've been the only guest and thank Urban very much not to cancel that tour! and to pick me up and bring me back to the Hotel. And in addition I've seen again that South Afrika has the most kreativ Artist in the World. I'm here for more 14 days and feel free and safe to go to many different places after that tour. Hope to see you at the bicycle tour to Sowetho again.
I traveled to Johannesburg on a business trip and had one day by myself to see some sites. As a young, female solo traveler, I was quite wary about exploring by myself so did some research and came across MoAfrika's half-day tour of Johannesburg. I emailed over the weekend and received a confirmation email straight away telling me I was booked for the tour and could pay on the day (convenient!). I was picked-up promptly around 1pm by my guide, Tsholo and ended up being the only person on the tour that day. He talked me through the itinerary for the day on our way to our first stop which was Constitutional Hill (here, their own tour guide takes over). I cannot praise Tsholo enough!! I really learned a lot and felt very at ease and safe throughout the day- he only let me exit the car in areas he felt were safe. We drove through different areas of the city and I was told about their history and development throughout time. The poverty divide is quite shocking, but Tsholo's positive attitude and outlook for the future is very contagious and really summarises the warmth and friendliness of South Africans. This tour is much recommended for solo travellers who'd like to see a few sites around the city and learn about South Africa from the perspective of a local, in a safe, educational environment.
We were a group of 7 and took the MoAfrika half day tour of Johannesburg directly from the airport. It was interesting and infornative and we enjoyed going to constitution hill and getting a feel for the history of South Africa and Johannesburg. The guide was good and explained different aspects of Johannesburg as we went around on the minibus.
An excellent day spent in Johannesburg. Our guide Bobo was extremely professional and knowledgeable regarding history and current day events. Realy money well spent
