MoAfrica Tours are very professional and know their job seriously well. Punctual and kind, they live to their word and would not let your money go in vain. They ensure you enjoy every moment and have a great and memorable tour. I had a lovely half day tour at the Lion and Safari park. Well guided and sharp on timings. All inclusions were as stated on their website and no extra/hidden charges unlike others. Kudos MoAfrica. I am sure to do a tour with you again!
We've had the pleasure to have a last minute tour booked, and we've has the best customer service we've experienced. Flexibility and accommodation to our unique time restrictions, we were extremely glad that the organiser had it well planned, and closed loop communication. Thank you very much for this leaving such a wonderful memory.
I was about to give you 5 stars but I reduced one because I saw the price and its cheaper than how much I paid to you. Apart from that its a wonderful experience. My tour guides Tsholo and Mr. Jan Brink were really awesome and helpful to me. I can't wait to come back to Joburg for more sightseeing with you guys and hopefully I will get the best rates next time! Thank you! Queenie from Burma
What to do when you’re a solo traveler, in Johannesburg, hotel checkout is 11am and your flight isn’t until 8pm??? THIS IS IT!! Booked through TripAdvisor. The driver was early, and it took a little more than an hour in rush hour traffic to reach the park. He was super friendly and did a great job navigating traffic! The return trip was about 45-minutes. The tour stared with a guided safari. The tour guide was great! After this was the lion cub encounter ... WHAT???? YES!!!! And THEN - separately at the park, I purchased the Cheetah encounter. COULD THE DAY BE ANY BETTER? NO WAY! Everyone at the park was friendly, knowledgeable, and there to ensure I had a safe, educational, and memorable experience. If you are looking for an amazing close-encounter, look no further!
This was a great half day private tour. I was picked up from my hotel on time and driven out to the Lion park. The driver came with me into the Lion Cub area and took photos of me while in there so I didn't have to ask a stranger to take photos. He then took me to the safari area where we went on a drive around the park and saw all the other animals they have there. Would definitely recommend if you want to get up close and personal with Lions Cubs!
Lions, lions kids, wild dogs, girafes, cheetah, and many others! Special thanks to our fantastic guide Justin! you are the best :)
I completed two tours with Moafrika, Lion Park and the following day Half Day Joburg. They went above and beyond, both times collecting from one location and returning to a different hotel/airport. Drivers all friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
This was a great tour, especially for a solo traveller. It was extremely convenient being picked up from my hotel and not having to worry about purchasing tickets onsite. My guide Justin was very friendly, and also a good photographer when I went to the lion cub experience! I paid extra to have the cheetah experience, which was worth it. During the hour-long safari drive we saw lots of animals, including lions, wildabeast, wild dogs, cheetahs, and giraffes. A great way to experience these animals while not having to drive too far from the city!
We visited the Lion Park after a Safari at Thornybush, we went specifically to walk with the cheetahs and it was fantastic.
I booked the Lion Park tour and had an amazing experience. MoAfrika answered all my questions prior to booking. My guide, Justin, was friendly and very easy to talk to. I especially enjoyed the lion cub encounter and Justin took video and lots of pictures for me. He was great and I highly recommend
I made a combination tour with Moafrika today (Feb/25/2019): Lion Park & Pretória. Excellent. I recommend. Our Guide was Stanley, of MoAfrika. He was Very Nice and explained in detail the history of South África. During the morning we saw Voortrekker monument, Paul Kruger Museum and other important spots in Pretoria. Afternoon in the Lion Park, where we can see Lions, cheetaa and other Animals Very close. 8 hours of activity. Worth It. Thanks to MoaAfrika and special thanks to Stanley!!!!!!
I visited Lion's park on Mar 23, 2019. The guide knew the culture and history of South Africa and every animal in the park! He tried his best to find best places to take pictures for the animals. You cannot miss the lion cub and you have a chance to play with Cheetah with extra R120 .
Had a great time at Lion Park and got to experience everything as stated in the tour itinerary from the predator tour to cub interaction as well as giraffe feeding. As a bonus during the predator safari, got to see lions getting fed which was pretty cool! Cubs were very warm, fuzzy and luckily (for fear of getting scratched/bitten) not very active! Our guide was also very knowledgeable but the only drawback was he arrived an hour late due to some walk in the city centre area which I believe should have been planned accordingly in advance!
Thabang was our guide and he was EXCELLENT! We booked the 1/2 day tour which we missed the feeding of the lions however we saw wild dogs, cheetahs, lions and rhinos. The treat was being able to see all of the rhinos congregate in one spot.
Booked at short notice and got a wonderfully knowledgeable guide who was patient and friendly with us all day. We got to pet some baby lions and had the full driving experience. Thabang even recommended some other tours we’d enjoy. Definitely recommend
I had one day break while traveling for work in Johannesburg. So, I was looking for something I could (without waking up too early and coming back too late) and came across the Lion Park Tour. Overall, it was a great experience. The description from MoAfrika Tours is pretty spot on. You don't really need to bring anything except your sunglasses. The park has convenient store for bottled water, snacks, coffee, restrooms, gift stores, etc. Also, they have a restaurant if needed. There's plenty of cellular coverage so you can talk, email, etc. It's not a large park. I was picked up at my hotel lobby little after 9am. MoAfrika sent me an email the night before to tell me the timeframe they would pick me up. The driver picks up several folks from various hotels. Then, the drive to Lion Park is about 45 minutes. So, we were at the park little after 10am. The driver (tour guide) buys the park tickets and puts it on our wrists. Then, we are basically on our own with the park's tour guide in their open-air truck. The park tour lasts about one hour. If you have your own car, you can drive it through it yourself as well. It's pretty controlled and safe. All prides (3 I recall) are separated by fences. After the tour, we are led to the cub area where you can touch and pet some cubs. That was the best part I think. This last about 5-10 minutes. Then, you can choose to go through their gift stores. We are back in our van little after 1pm and I was back at my hotel lobby little after 2pm. They don't serve lunch so you can grab some snack at their store or just wait until you get back to your hotel. In all, it was a simple and easy tour to go to. No real physical requirement since you are basically jumping from one vehicle to another. I would say MoAfrika Tour guide is more like a driver than a tour guide since they pick you up and drop you off. The tour guide is the Lion Park Tour employee who drives their open-air truck and gives you info about the lions, etc.
Highly rated!! After a business trip to South Africa this week, a few colleagues and myself decided to end the week with a trip to the lion park as organised by MoAfrica tours. Our tour guide Clemence was excellent and spent the ride to the park (approx 1 hour) telling us all about South Africa (and his township, Soweto) from a native’s perspective. The park itself was great and is well worth a visit. The highlight was feeding a giraffe and playing with adorable cubs. We all felt very safe and well taken care of- the car you’ll be driving through the reserve in is caged so you’ll feel very secure.
This tour was through MoAfrica This was much better than we expected. We saw lions, cheetahs, giraffes and got to pet the baby cubs. We had one pride come right up to our vehicle. It was very cool. Our driver Mthuntzi was a great guide. Great conversation from Sandton to the park and back.
Only having 26 hrs on the ground in Jo-Berg, I wanted to make the most of my time. MoAfrika did a great job of setting up the trip and making sure I felt comfortable throughout the day. The driver was on time and attentive. The only reason for the reduction of one star is because the ground transportation was a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Based on the website, I would have expected a small minibus or equivalent.
