Situated beneath towering, shaded trees, they command a view of a seasonal river that serves as a magnet for a wide variety of wildlife. Dark wood and leather adorn the tents, evoking a sense of nostalgia. You can enhance your stay with a touch of romance as the walkways are illuminated at night.
There is air conditioning, a private bathroom, and additional blankets in each tent in case it gets cold. You have the option to brew your own Lavazza coffee or tea or peruse the minibar for a quick snack. An international power outlet and a safe are available for your convenience.

Guests can fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg. We will also meet you at Eastgate for transportation to and from Kapama Game Reserve. We arrange your transfer from Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport to Kapama Private Game Reserve in time for you to clean up and eat before embarking on an afternoon game drive with your ranger and tracker into the reserve.
During the drive, you will stop for a sundowner and get the opportunity to stretch your legs while watching the sun set over the distant Drakensberg mountains. As nightfall approaches, the nocturnal animals of the bush emerge. During the trip back to the resort at night, a variety of distinct species might be observed. The adept tracker will sweep the landscape with a flashlight that highlights the eyes of animals. Arrival at the lodge is often around 19:00,leaving ample time to refresh up before a delectable meal.
You will rise between 5:00 and 05:30 each morning for tea or coffee and rusks before setting off on a morning game drive. The reserve's wildlife is typically more active in the morning due to the reserve's colder temperatures, and the softer light makes for excellent photographs.
After a substantial breakfast at the lodge, you will have time to relax by the pool, read a nice book, and enjoy the rest of the lodge's amenities. After a sumptuous high tea, you will go on an afternoon wildlife drive that may last past twilight; the day will invariably conclude with a delicious dinner and a discussion of the day's sightings.
The final day of your safari will begin with an early morning wildlife drive and, hopefully, some unforgettable sightings.
After the drive, you will have breakfast at your resort before being transferred to the Eastgate airport for your return flight.
