Big animals including elephants, rhinos, lions, and hippopotamuses can regularly be seen in the reserve. Between meals and game drives, visitors can unwind at the pool or go on guided walking safaris into the dense forest to observe the passing wildlife. Two daily game drives are offered in specialised 4×4 safari cars. The rangers would gladly share with you their extensive knowledge of everything that grows and lives in the area. Morning game drives take you deep into the Manyeleti concession and typically begin at half past five in the morning. You will pause the drive for a (much-needed) cup of coffee and some light fare.
Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Safari Camp provides a distinctive fusion of modern design elements with a traditional safari tent stay. In all, there are two camps—Khoka Moya and Mantobeni—each with twelve spacious tents. Each one has tasteful furnishings and sophisticated accents. The twelve East African-styled tents remind of a safari in the vein of Ernest Hemingway and provides visitors with a genuine safari experience, but unfortunately no children under 12 are allowed. The cosy furnishings in the tents feature soft leather couches, cotton sheets and damask linen, double or twin beds, and en suite bathrooms with a large concrete bath, double shower, and separate toilet. The main guest amenities include a bar, a temperature-controlled wine cellar, indoor and outdoor relaxation rooms, a reception area with a lounge and a small library. The swimming pool deck looks out over the waterhole and adjourns the public space.

By 07:00, depart from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal and head east on the N4 motorway via the Mpumalanga and Gauteng Highvelds to the Manyeleti Game Reserve.
You will stop for refreshments along the route, and the drive could take six or seven hours. After arriving at the lodge, you should have enough time to rest and freshen up before leaving for your first afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. You will head back to the resort around dusk, when dinner will be waiting for you. You spend the night in opulent accommodation at Mantobeni Tented Camp, which includes breakfast and dinner.
In order to see some nocturnal creatures still out hunting and to catch the sunrise, get up early, have a hot beverage, and eat some rusks before heading out on your morning game drive. You can relax for the remainder of the day after returning for a late breakfast at the resort. Around 16:00 is when your afternoon game drive will start, and it will return after twilight, just in time for dinner by the fire. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included in your package for your opulent lodging at Mantobeni Tented Camp.
You will rise early on the last day of your stay, have a hot coffee and some rusks, and then head out for the last game drive. You witness another African dawn and then head back to the resort for breakfast before making your way to Johannesburg. You should arrive at the drop-off location at about 17:00. Breakfast at the lodge is included in your deal today.
