We visit four different nightspots in the vibrant hub of Soweto. Each one has its own distinctive vibe and character and attracts a unique crowd. You get to experience a combo of traditional shebeens and modern bars. To make sure you get into the party spirit, the first drink at every bar is on us!

The Soweto Night tour is an unforgettable experience and an absolute thrill for those who love the idea of an amazing night out in South Africa’s most famous city. Your MoAfrika Tour guide is a born and bred local from Soweto and knows the city well and takes you to the hotspots of the city.
We visit four different nightspots in the vibrant hub of Soweto. Each one has its own distinctive vibe and character and attracts a unique crowd. You get to experience a combo of traditional shebeens and modern bars. To make sure you get into the party spirit, the first drink at every bar is on us!
After pick-ups, we make our way to Soweto to the vibrant hub of Vilakazi Street. On our way in, we pass iconic landmarks such as the FNB Soccer Stadium, Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital and the massive Soweto Towers. Born and bred in Soweto, your guide will give you an informal orientation tour of the city as you make your way to the first bar.
The evening starts with a visit to the first of four different nightspots. Soak up the atmosphere of the city’s vibrant night life and enjoy local drinks and traditional cuisine. The first drink at each bar is on us.
The four places you visit are a combination of traditional street bars known as shebeens in Orlando West and modern bars in the famous Vilakazi Street. When the fun is over, your guide drives you back to your accommodation in Johannesburg.
Group tours
MoAfrika Tours and its service providers offer cost effective group tours and transfers ranging from 2 – 12 persons per vehicle, please do inform us if you would prefer a private tour (additional rates may apply).
