Be ready for an early morning breakfast and pickup from the hotel, for an exciting Pilanesberg Safari. The picturesque drive to Pilanesberg National Park takes approximately 2.5 hours. You will enjoy an open vehicle safari in the park, which is home to the glorious Big 5, along with a diversity of wildlife and abundant flora. You will enjoy lunch at one of the lodges in the park. After some more game watching, you return to the hotel in Johannesburg, in time to refresh and have dinner at a recommended local restaurant or at the hotel.
Enjoy breakfast before you are picked up from the hotel for the Soweto and Apartheid Museum tour. In Vilakazi Street, you will visit the homes where Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu once resided. Lunch, which is included, is served at a local restaurant in Soweto, like Sakhumzi Restaurant or another recommended one. After lunch, it is time to visit the Apartheid Museum, where you will be fascinated by the rich diversity of South Africa’s inhabitants, as well as the dramatic rise and fall of apartheid as part of the history of the country. Back at the hotel, collect your luggage for your transfer to O.R. Tambo International Airport for your departure drop-off around 17:00.
