Guests stay in tented accommodation fully equipped for comfort and convenience at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp in the Kruger Park that is fully equipped for comfort and convenience.

Accommodation

Guests stay in dome tents fully equipped for comfort and convenience with single beds and access to communal ablutions. All bedding is included. All accommodation is strictly non-smoking.

Breakfast and dinner are prepared in a private section of the rest camp’s camp kitchen and served in our open-air dining tent or in the camp restaurant if it rains.

The rest camp has a take-out restaurant and a Park shop for drinks and snacks. Please note that no alcohol may be consumed on the open safari vehicles during game drives.

An enormous swimming pool built around a massive granite rock is a unique feature of the historic rest camp.

The camp has cell phone service but no Wi-Fi. To access the internet while on vacation in the Kruger Park, purchase a Sim card with Pay as You Go data.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Johannesburg - Kruger National Park

We depart from Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport bus terminal by 07:00 for your transfer to Hazyview. It is a 5-6 hour drive and you will stop for lunch (for your own expense) en route.

From Hazyview you get into an open safari vehicle and do a late afternoon safari drive into the park after which you are checked into your tented accommodation.

Dinner is served under the stars at our private camp within Pretoriuskop.

You spend the night in your dome tent and your package includes dinner.

Day 2-3 - Kruger National Park

After an early wake-up calleach morning there is time for tea or coffee and rusks before departing for a full day open vehicle safari drive from about06:00 to 15:30.Brunchesare included along your route and your guide will also stop during the course of the day for you to purchase refreshments.

After some relaxation or added optional activities back at the camp, dinner is served under the stars at our private camp within the rest camp.

You spend the nights in your dome tent and your package includes hot beverages and rusks, light brunches and three-course dinners.

Day 4 - Kruger National Park - Johannesburg

You wake up early again, pack up and depart on a morning safari drive in the open vehicle. Breakfast is included along route in the park before you are dropped off in Hazyview and get into the transfer vehicle back to Johannesburg.

You should arrive in Johannesburg between 17:30 and 18:00, depending on late-afternoon traffic.

Your package includes hot beverages and rusks, breakfast and transfer.

Important Information

Guests are collected from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport between 7:00 and 7:30. Collections from any other Johannesburg hotels or addresses are possible at additional rates.

Guests are dropped off at Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport around 17:00, other hotels or addresses can be arranged at additional rates.

MoAfrika Tours and its service providers provide cost-effective transfers for groups of 2 – 12 people per vehicle; please let us know if you prefer a private tour (additional rates may apply).

Keep in mind that if you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we recommend booking a domestic flight no earlier than 19:30 and an international flight no earlier than 21:00.
