The Greater Kruger is made up of a collection of private game farms which are unfenced and collectively share an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. It’s a premier Big 5 wildlife destination in an area renowned for its outstanding biodiversity.
Tremisana Game Lodge is a founding member of Balule Private Nature Reserve and maintains much of its original warmth and charm. The charming chalets are ensuite and air-conditioned and fully equipped for comfort and convenience. Guests dine under the stars at the lodge boma.

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged hotel/guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Greater Kruger National Park is about 5 hours long and takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.
Arrive mid-day at your safari lodge in Balule Private Nature Reserve, with a light lunch served in the lapa. Settle into your chalet and relax until it’s time to depart for a 2-hour afternoon game drive. Return to your safari lodge to change and have pre-dinner drinks before jumping into an open safari vehicle to drive to the Bush BBQ spot deep in the bush. Weather permitting, it’s an incredible experience dining under the stars around a roaring fire at an outdoor boma deep in the bushveld.

Wake up early and choose between a glorious 3-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River with an armed professional game ranger, or a 3-hour safari tour of Balule Private Nature Reserve in an open safari vehicle. The private game reserves that make up the Greater Kruger are unfenced so you should see an abundance of wildlife and birds.
Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for brunch. Be ready to depart late morning for the return trip to Johannesburg. Arrive late-afternoon (17h00) in Johannesburg; drop-off at OR Tambo International Airport or a hotel or guest lodge (pre-arranged with MoAfrika Tours). Please check timing before confirming a connecting international or domestic flight.

If you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of the safari tour, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h30 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
