Kapama Karula Lodge lies nestled in a grove of indigenous trees on the banks of the perennial Klaserie River. It’s a luxury family-friendly safari destination in Kapama Private Game Reserve which spans some 13 000 hectares and falls within the Greater Kruger National Park.

Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged hotel/guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.
Arrive at Kapama Private Game Reserve mid-day, in time for a light lunch. Freshen up and relax before it’s time to depart on a late-afternoon game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve.
Overnight at Kapama Karula Lodge. Guests dine in the lodge restaurant or at the outdoor boma.

Wake up early (5h30-6h00) for hot beverages and rusks before departing for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in Kapama Private Game Reserve. Return to your lodge for a late breakfast and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or treating yourself to a spa session. Depart late afternoon after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive in the private reserve, with a pitstop for sundowners in the bush.
