It lies on the boundary between Zambia and Zimbabwe in southern Africa and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Africa.
The mighty Zambezi River cascades over the falls edge, dropping 90 metres down into the Zambezi Gorge; sending a column of spray towering high into the air when the river is high. The town itself is known as the “Adrenalin Capital of Africa”, offering a vast array of fun activities for the whole family.
The Kingdom at Victoria Falls is one of the most popular hotel destinations on the Zimbabwe side of the Falls. It’s a casual 10-minute walk from the iconic waterfall and the centre of town, and close to the main tourist attractions. This striking hotel is known for its African fantasy-themed architecture that’s inspired by the ancient Kingdom of Munhumutapa. It’s the sister-hotel of The Lost City at Sun City in South Africa.
The Kingdom at Victoria Falls is more than just a hotel, it’s a family-orientated entertainment centre which incorporates the Great Enclosure situated next door. It offers guests incredible amenities, including 4 sparkling pools, indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars, a massive food court, boutique shops, a pharmacy, bank, internet café and curio shops. The main attraction at The Great Enclosure is the Makasa Casino which is one of the oldest and most impressive casinos in Zimbabwe.
The three-storey luxury hotel is built around a magnificent artificial lake, and lies nestled in lush rainforest surrounds. Each deluxe ensuite room comes standard with air-conditioning, flatscreen TVs and satellite channels, a tea and coffee station and the usual luxuries of a 4-star hotel. The Kingdom at Victoria Falls also caters for guests with special needs. Great attention has been paid to the smallest details to reflect the magical fantasy of a Royal Palace.
