3 Night / 4 Day Tremisana Kruger Park Safari accommodation in en-suite thatched chalets, includes open vehicle safari drives, guided bush walks and a visit to the Blyde River Canyon.
For many years, MoAfrika has been giving guests the most unforgettable safari experiences in game parks around the country, including the Kruger National Park. Our team loves to take guests into the most beautiful places in the country, on trips into those areas where they can see wildlife in their natural habitat. We work to ensure that we contribute to eco-tourism when we take our guests on safari.
Tremisana is the largest and leading lodge in the Balule section of Kruger Park.
We have a total of 15 chalets plus a two-bedroomed Guest House. Every unit has a thatch roof, is air-conditioned and en suite (shower, toilet, basin) and has a tea/coffee station. Insect-proof screens are fitted on all windows.
There is a splash pool, open air boma for dinners around a crackling fire and a covered lapa overlooking a waterhole. A very beautiful luxuriant garden boasts numerous bougainvillea, palms and cycads which give the camp a subtropical tone. Water features add a soothing effect and the overall feel of Tremisana Lodge is very relaxing. At night, the subdued light along the illuminated paved walkways lend a romantic and magical feel to this outstanding camp.
Guests are collected from guesthouses, hotels, the OR Tambo International Airport, or from private houses. We then travel through the stunning scenery of the Highveld into the Lowveld as we journey to the Tremisana Game Lodge which is located in the Kruger National Park. After arriving, we take a short break at the Lodge, relaxing in the pool and enjoying a refreshing drink before embarking on the 3 hour sunset drive in the comfort of a Landcruiser. While on this safari drive your guide will point out the interesting birds and wildlife that comes out when the sun goes down. After the drive, we have a bush braai in the Marula Boma before retiring for the night in an air conditioned chalet.
We wake up before the sun rises and prepare for an exciting day out in the bush. After driving to a remote area, we begin the 4 hour walk out in the wild. With the experienced guide who will be joining you for the walk, you will enjoy a relaxed, completely unrushed walk. We spot the footprints of the larger animals that are known to roam the area and there will be plenty of time to take many pictures. After the walk, we head back to Tremisana for a delicious brunch and the afternoon will be spent relaxing at the lodge. You can also pay a visit to the game viewing hide at the Tremisana Dam. At around 15h30 we head off on a sunset drive in a game viewing vehicle where the driver will be in touch with other viewing vehicles out in the bush. We return to the lodge at around 19h30.
On this day we are in the Kruger National Park. We enter through the Orpen Gate in a comfortable open game viewing vehicle. These vehicles have no windows and plenty of space to see the animals that are in the park, making this the perfect vehicle from which to take many photographs. In these vehicles you will be able to hear all of the sounds of Africa while also taking in all of the unique smells. Throughout the day we will stop off at picnic spots and rest camps to enjoy snacks and to stretch our legs. On this day you will certainly be seeing plenty of wildlife. We will be travelling through the Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi area, where spotting giraffe, zebra and other interesting animals is very common. This area is also well known for lion.
It’s an early start for us on day four as we set out on an early morning sunrise drive in the open safari vehicle. We head back to the lodge to eat breakfast and there is time to buy souvenirs. We then pack up and head to the Blyde River Canyon and all of its stunning sights. In the late afternoon, we return to the city to drop you off again. Airport drop off by arrangement.
