Your journey starts with a comfortable pickup from Johannesburg between 5:30 AM and 6:30 AM in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle. Arrive at Pilanesberg by 9 AM for a 3-hour morning game drive in an open safari vehicle, perfect for spotting elephants, lions, and more!
By 12PM, check into the elegant Ivory Tree Game Lodge, savour a delicious lunch, and unwind by the pool or book a spa session. At 4 PM – 7PM depart on a 3-hour sunset game drive in an open safari vehicle, capturing wildlife against stunning sunsets.

If you plan to fly out of OR Tambo International Airport on the last day of your travels, we suggest reserving a domestic flight that departs no earlier than 19h30 and an international flight that departs no earlier than 21h00.
Guests are picked up early in Johannesburg and driven to Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Arrive at aha Ivory Tree Game Lodge mid-day after exploring the game reserve for a few hours. Have a light lunch and relax before it’s time to depart for a late-afternoon game drive in the reserve. Game drives are in an open safari vehicle with a professional ranger. Return to the lodge as the sun is setting and enjoy a gourmet dinner at the restaurant.

Depart mid-afternoon between 15:00 – 15:15 for the return journey to Johannesburg.
