4 Day Rhino Post Safari Lodge

Imagine spending your days exploring the vast wilderness of the Kruger National Park, home to some of the most iconic wildlife on the planet. Imagine relaxing in a luxurious suite, surrounded by natural beauty and comfort. This is what awaits you on your 4-day safari at Rhino Post Safari Lodge, a unique and eco-friendly destination that offers an unforgettable safari experience.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is more than just a place to stay. It is a place to connect with nature, to enjoy the thrill of game drives and the tranquillity of bush walks, to savour delicious cuisine and fine wines, and to share stories and memories with fellow travellers. It is a place where you can experience the true essence of the Kruger National Park, without compromising on quality or service.

At Rhino Post Safari Lodge, you will discover a different side of the Kruger, one that is exclusive, intimate and authentic. You will stay in elegant suites, built with natural materials and designed to blend in with the environment.

Rhino Post is located in one of the Kruger’s top game watching areas, adjacent to the Mala Mala and Sabi Sand Reserves with no fencing between them.

You will have access to a private concession within the park, where you can encounter the Big 5 and other wildlife in their natural habitat. You will also have the option to visit other areas of the park, such as Skukuza or Mala Mala, for more variety and adventure.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is an authentic, unfenced safari resort located on a 12000-hectare private concession in the world-famous Kruger National Park’s south-western part, a perfect and trendy alternative to a regular park visit that includes interesting additions.

The restricted quantity of suites ensures visitors’ privacy and exclusivity.

Open-air game drives and bird-watching tours bring tourists face to face with Africa’s most respected residents. The reserve is home to the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo – as well as a variety of antelope, bird species, and large game.

The lodge was developed and built with the environment in mind. Few permanent structures are made using all-natural materials, connected by raised walkways, and illuminated by low-energy lighting, in conformity with present environmental trends.

Each deluxe suite has an elegantly designed bedroom and lounge. Wildlife can be seen roaming the lodge grounds from your private patio deck, as well as your bathroom or outdoor shower, which overlooks the riverbed. Under the Tamboti trees, indulge in excellent cuisine, while the lodge’s sociable lounge, with its enormous wine store, cosy fireplace and bar, is ideal for a sundowner.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is 500 kilometers and six hours drive from Johannesburg in a standard sedan vehicle. The nearest domestic airport is Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, which has regular flights to Johannesburg.

Accommodation

Rhino Post Safari Lodge is made entirely of natural materials. The magnificent building of stone, wood, thatch, and canvas blends with the landscape and gives visitors with a warm and comfortable environment.

Eight contemporary bush suites with huge glass windows and doors bring the splendour of the outdoors inside. The Mutlumuvi Riverbed is visible from every suite.

Built on stilts above the river, the suites are open-plan in design, with a free-standing bath, indoor and outdoor showers, a separate toilet, and his and hers basins. The apartments have a natural vibe thanks to the wood floors and organic materials used throughout the lodge, while mosaics on the floor offer some personality.

Rhino Post Safari Lodge has adopted a total eco-friendly strategy. Apart from being built of natural materials including reed, thatch, stone, and canvas, the constructing technique employed no concrete, and the walkways are elevated above the ground.

A reedbed system filters the bathroom water, garbage is recycled, and lighting is powered by batteries.

A pool, fireplace, wine cellar, breath-taking views, and shady trees ensure that all guests are satisfied, and other facilities include overhead fans and air conditioning, mosquito nets, a safe and hairdryer in every room, and internet.
