We make our way to Boulders Beach through Muizenberg and Fish Hoek. This area is part of the Table Mountain Nature Reserve which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Cape Point & Cape of Good Hope
Enjoy a scrumptious lunch in Cape Point before setting out to explore the Cape Point Nature Reserve, which forms part of the Cape Floral Kingdom World Heritage Site. If you opt to take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the top of Cape Point (own cost), you’ll have a brilliant view of the lighthouse which was constructed in 1859 as well as False Bay.
Learn more about the history of Vasco Da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias, who named the area “Cape of Storm” in 1488. Enjoy a leisurely walk along some nature trails.
There is an optional to hike from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope. The hike takes about 40 minutes and is another great addition to a day outdoors.
Return to V&A Waterfront
End the day with a coastal drive through Scarborough and Kommetjie and over the Ou Kaapse Weg mountain pass on the return route back to Cape Town City Bowl.
