The park has a total area of 55 000 hectares and is home to over 7000 animals that live in a free and unrestricted environment. Pilanesberg is home to all of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard, buffalo, and lion) and you can be confident that you will be able to cross off the majority of your game sightings on your list.

You will of course also encounter other animals like zebra, giraffe, cheetah, hyena, hippo, crocodile, jackal, wild cat, various antelope as well as over 300 bird species.

Pilanesberg offers over 200 km of roads for guided or self-drive game viewing. On this tour you will enjoy an extensive game drive conducted by your own experienced and knowledgeable tour guide who will answer all your questions about the fascinating wildlife and environment.

Together with your own private driver and guide, you can have the ultimate day safari experience in a closed vehicle in the Pilanesberg National Park.

You should not forget to bring your camera to get a permanent record of all the wild animals and the spectacular landscape this National Park has to offer.

Your private guide and driver will collect you in a closed vehicle form your hotel or residence in Johannesburg between 06:00 and 06:30 in the morning to travel to the Pilanesberg Nature reserve.

On arrival in the reserve, your guide will take you on an exciting morning safari drive in a closed 4×4 safari vehicle during which you can expect several sightings of the animals that inhabit the National Park.
