Our Lesotho Day Trip will take you from Underberg up Sani Pass and further on into a village in the Mountain Kingdom, called Mokhotlong, allowing you to explore more of the “Kingdom in the Sky”. Enjoy the natural flora and fauna of Lesotho as you drive past the highest peak in Southern Africa and get a glimpse into history as you get the chance to see the old buildings in this small village that pack a lot of history into a relatively small area. It’s the ideal combination of nature, culture, and history. We reach the summits of several of the greatest peaks that are located to the south of
Kilimanjaro! As you make your way down into the valleys below, you will see the isolated communities that are located around Mokhotlong. While we take in the views of the Lesotho Mountains, we enjoy a cup of coffee, snacks, and a lunch. Experience some Basotho Pony-Trekking in the foothills near Mokhotlong with your guide OR enjoy an immersive cultural experience. It is not possible to finish the Via Sani Pass without making a stop at the Highest Pub in Africa before heading back to Underberg.
