Itinerary

Day 1 - Windhoek

pon your arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, you will be welcomed by your Car Hire representative. They will assist you with your included airport transfer to the Car Hire office, where you will receive a comprehensive briefing and the handover of your rental vehicle for the duration of your Namibian safari. At the Car Hire office, a representative from MoAfrika Tours will meet you to provide a detailed overview of your Namibia safari itinerary and clear directions to your first night’s accommodation. Please note that dinner this evening is not included; you are welcome to enjoy a meal at your accommodation or select from a variety of excellent restaurants in the city

Day 2 - The road to Otjiwarongo

Your day starts with an early 8:00 AM departure from Windhoek, heading north along the B1. After approximately 76 km, you’ll reach the charming town of Okahandja, where you can browse the local Craft Market and enjoy a morning coffee at Dede’s Place. Continuing through the town, the journey takes you further north toward Otjiwarongo and onward to Otjiwa Game Reserve, arriving in time for a light lunch. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to book any of the optional activities available at the lodge’s reception (at your own expense). This evening, dinner is included, offering a relaxed and enjoyable conclusion to your first day

Day 3 - Onguma Bush Camp

This morning, we rejoin the B1 north, passing through the towns of Otjiwarongo and Tsumeb. Along the way, we stop to visit the historic Otjikoto Lake before continuing toward the Von Lindequist Gate of Etosha National Park. Just before reaching the park entrance, we turn off at the Onguma Gate and arrive at Onguma Bush Camp in the mid-afternoon.

Day 4 - Etosha National Park

Today promises a full day of adventure with open-vehicle game drives. The day begins with a sunrise departure into Etosha National Park, a highlight of the safari. You'll be on the lookout for wildlife in their natural habitat, which may include elephants, herds of zebra, wildebeest, springbok, impala, giraffes, and an abundance of birdlife. Your guide will explore the eastern side of the park, stopping at various watering holes to seek out memorable wildlife encounters. Lunch will be served back at the lodge, followed by a short afternoon break to relax. Later, you'll embark on another open-vehicle game drive, revisiting the morning's watering holes or exploring new routes in search of the "Big Four" species found in the park. As the day winds down, you'll return to the lodge in the late afternoon, with time to rest before enjoying a delightful dinner under the African stars.

Day 5 - Etosha National Park

Enjoy another full day exploring Etosha National Park, this time in the comfort of your own vehicle. Begin your journey by traversing the western side of the park, stopping at various watering holes along the way to observe the incredible wildlife. Plan a quick lunch stop at the Halali Rest Camp, which is at your own expense. In the afternoon, continue your exploration, visiting more watering holes and taking the opportunity to stop at the edge of the iconic Etosha Pan. In the late afternoon, arrive at the Okaukuejo Rest Camp, home to one of the world’s most famous watering holes. This spot is renowned for its remarkable wildlife activity, making it a must-see. From there, exit the park at Anderson Gate and take a short drive to Etosha Safari Camp, where you’ll settle in for the evening.

Day 6 - South to Otjiwarongo and Okahandja

Travel south today, passing through the charming town of Outjo, where you can stop at one of Namibia's most beloved bakeries. From there, continue along the B1, traveling through Otjiwarongo and Okahandja. The tarred roads make for an easy and comfortable drive. You'll arrive back at your Hotel in Windhoek by mid-afternoon, leaving plenty of time to unwind and enjoy a relaxed evening. Dinner tonight is not included, but we highly recommend Joe’s Beerhouse for your final culinary experience in Namibia. Renowned for its unique atmosphere and delicious offerings, it’s often said that no trip to Namibia is complete without a visit to Joe’s. Be sure to book your reservation well in advance!

Day 7 - Windhoek

Depending on your departure time, you will return your vehicle to the Car Hire office. Please remember to refuel the tank to avoid any additional charges. Once the handover is complete, the Car Hire company will provide a transfer to the airport, ensuring you arrive in time for your flight.
