Drive to Inverdoorn via Ceres
The scenic drive from Cape Town to Inverdoorn Game Reserve takes you through the tropical fruit-growing area of Ceres. The valley was named after the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility and is renowned for its spectacular beauty and vast fruit plantations.
Buffet lunch, check-in and afternoon tea
After welcome drinks, enjoy a delicious lunch (from 13h00) at the Ambassador Suite on the rooftop terrace or private dining area. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring the gardens or relaxing in your suite.
Sunset Big 5 safari tour
Your private game drive with a dedicated game ranger in an open safari vehicle departs at 17h00 in summer or 16h00 in winter. Blankets and hot water bottles are provided in cold weather; bring warm jackets, beanies and gloves.
Complimentary soft drinks and water are provided on the sunset game drive. The length of the game drive depends on what you see and stop for but it’s generally between 2&half to 3 hours long, returning to your suite between 19h30 and 20h00.
Pre-dinner drinks, 5-course set menu dinner and overnight stay
Freshen up in your suite and then join your hosts for pre-dinner drinks at the lodge boma or indoors in the cosy lounge and bar area. A 5-course set-menu dinner is served in the Traditional Rondavel restaurant around the fire pit (weather dependent) from 20h00 in summer and 19h30 in winter.
After dinner, relax around the roaring fire while your ranger serves drinks from the bar (own cost). Retire to your suite and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep in the stillness of the Ceres Karoo.
Sunrise Big 5 safari tour
Early wake-up for a 2&half to 3-hour private sunrise game drive at 06h00 in summer and 07h00 in winter. The length of the game drive depends on what you see and stop for; expect to return to the lodge between 09h30 and 10h00.
Breakfast and check-out
Hot beverages to welcome you back to the lodge. Enjoy a hearty breakfast served in your suite from 09h00. Check-out time is 10h00. Relax around the lodge or go for a nature walk until it’s time to depart for Cape Town at 12h30. Your guide returns you to your accommodation in Cape Town mid-afternoon.
