Guests are collected in Cape Town and driven via Hermanus to Cape Agulhas; the southernmost tip of Africa and where the Indian and Atlantic oceans officially meet. Explore the beautiful coastal surrounds and visit the Cape Agulhas lighthouse. It’s the second-oldest in South Africa and still working. Your journey winds its way through the magical Garden Route to a small town called Albertinia, which lies at the foot of the serene Langeberg Mountains. Book into the lodge; rest and freshen up before departing for a late-afternoon Big 5 safari tour of the privately-owned game reserve. Buffet dinner served in the lodge restaurant. Wake up early for a 3-hour sunrise game drive in the private game reserve. Return for a hearty breakfast and be ready to depart mid-morning for the return journey to Cape Town. We stop off at the local reptile park en route to the bustling coastal town of Hermanus which is famous for whale-watching and its street market, and then onto Betty’s Bay to see the African penguins. Arrive in Cape Town late afternoon (approx 17h00).
