There are more animals to see and interact with at the Wildlife Centre, many of them have either been rescued and rehabilitated or hand-reared because they’ve been rejected by their mother.
Enjoy a 2-hour game drive around the nature reserve, followed by a tour of the ancient Bothongo Wondercave. The nature reserve offers families and wildlife lovers a wonderful day out in the country and a fun mini-safari tour in a malaria-free area within easy driving distance of Johannesburg.
You need to be reasonably fit to visit the Bothongo Wondercave. There are 87 steps down to the entrance of the cave. An elevator takes you a further 18 meters to the large cave chamber.

After pick-ups, we make our way to the Rhino & Lion Nature Reserve, located north of Johannesburg in the Cradle of Humankind. After a brief safety talk, you’re taken on a 2-hour game drive in a specialised open safari vehicle.
After the safari tour, we make our way to Bothongo Wondercave for a tour of this incredible natural wonderland. The caves are renowned for their beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
Return to the Wildlife Centre for snacks and refreshments (own cost) and spend some time viewing the orphaned and rescued animals at the centre.
After a lovely time in the nature reserve, your guide drops you back at your accommodation in Johannesburg.
