3 Day African Rock Lodge Safari In Kruger National Park

Catch the 07:00 shuttle from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to African Rock Lodge in Hoedspruit. Arrive in the afternoon for lunch around 12:30, followed by check-in at 14:00. Your first excursion is a 3-hour sunset drive in the Blue Canyon Reserve, departing at 15:00. As a private reserve not open to the public like Kruger, Blue Canyon offers a unique and exclusive experience within the greater Kruger area, allowing guests to enjoy a secluded wilderness adventure. Spanning 38,000 hectares of pristine bushveld, it’s home to rare wildlife including rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Enjoy sundowners and snacks as you witness the African sunset, returning to the lodge for dinner at 18:30.

Depart around 05:00 for a full-day safari in Kruger National Park, focusing on the Satara and Orpen areas, known for one of the highest concentrations of lions in Africa. This thrilling adventure offers ample opportunities to spot the Big 5 and other incredible wildlife amidst the rich bushveld. Bottled water is provided, and you’ll return to the lodge in the evening for a restful night and dinner.

On your final morning, unwind at the lodge or opt for an additional 3-hour morning safari adventure (R1250 extra). After breakfast, take the shuttle back to OR Tambo International Airport, with arrival expected between 5:15 PM and 6:30 PM.
