Itinerary

Day 1 - Kruger Shalati - The Train on the Bridge

You will be picked up from Johannesburg OR Tambo airport, arrival at Shalati is around 13:30-14:00. By 14:00 you can check in to your suite and enjoy a luxurious rest until 16:00 when High tea is served in the lounge carriage.

Promptly at 16:30 you will depart on the 3hr afternoon game drive including a drinks break at sunset. By 19:30 you will be back at the train where dinner will be served at Bridge House. You can look forward to a good night’s rest in the privacy and comfort of your suite.

Day 2 - Kruger National Park

Set your alarm for an early start at 05:00 for a 3hr morning safari, complete with a sunrise tea or coffee break amidst the African bush. Return by 08:30 for breakfast at Bridge House. Spend your day exploring Skukuza Rest Camp or relaxing until lunch at Bridge House from 12:30 to 14:00.

Take a dip in the elevated river-view swimming pool until 16:00, followed by High tea in the lounge carriage. At 16:30, embark on a three-hour afternoon game drive with a drinks break and a chance to witness an African sunset.

Wrap up by 19:30 for dinner back at Bridge House. Sleep tight on your second night, because another early morning awaits…

Day 3 - Kruger National Park

Be ready by 05:00 for departure on a morning safari departs of 3hrs with a tea or coffee stop at sunrise. Hopefully you have good sightings of some nocturnal cats and other animals, before heading back for breakfast served from 08:30 to 10:00.

Take some time to pack and enjoy a final glimpse of the river and its surroundings before checking out. Your shuttle will then transport you to OR Tambo International Airport.
