You leave the OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal in Johannesburg around 07:00 for a beautiful trip east on the N4 freeway, going through the Highveld of Gauteng and Mpumalanga until you reach the Manyeleti Game Reserve. There will be several stops along the way to stretch your legs as the trip can last anywhere from six to seven hours. You should get to the lodge around lunchtime. There you will have time to clean up and unwind before your first open safari vehicle drive in the afternoon to see wildlife. You will go back to the lodge after the sun goes down, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for you. You overnight at the Tintswalo Safari Lodge, with lunch and dinner included as part of your stay.
Be ready for early wake-up calls. Before going on the morning game drives, have a hot coffee and some rusks. You will watch the sun rise over the African bush and may see some animals that hunt at night. You will get back at the lodge in time for a late breakfast, and after that, the rest of the day is yours to do as you want. Your game drive for the afternoon will leave at approximately 16:00 and return shortly after dusk, in time for you to relax around the boma and have dinner. Your package at the Tintswalo Safari lodge includes lodging in one of their luxurious rooms for the night as well as breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You will get up early again on the last day of your stay, enjoy your hot drink and rusks, and then go on one last game drive. After experiencing another African sunrise, you return to the lodge for a scrumptious breakfast before departing on the long journey back to Johannesburg. You should arrive at your drop-off point around 17:00.
