5-Day Kubu Safari Lodge Safari

Catch the 07:00 shuttle from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg to your accommodation at Kubu Safari Lodge in Hoedspruit. You will arrive in the afternoon in time for lunch around 12:30 (own cost), thereafter you will check in at 14:00. Your first excursion on this immersive bushveld experience is a 3hour sunset drive in the Khaya Ndlovu Private Game Reserve, departing at 15:00. Khaya Game Reserve provides a breathtaking sanctuary for some of Africa’s rarest and most iconic wildlife species, including rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs and leopards. Experience the majesty of the African sunset over the bushveld, with sundowners and snacks provided, before heading back to the lodge for dinner at 18:30.

You will depart early morning, around 05:00, for the world-famous Kruger National Park for a thrilling safari that offers unparalleled viewing of the Big 5 and other unforgettable wildlife encounters. Immerse yourself in the abundance and beauty of the Kruger bush before returning to your lodge for a relaxing evening and a hearty dinner. Bottled water will be provided during your Kruger safari.

Today brings a new experience with a full day excursion to the awe inspiring Panorama Route. One of South Africa's most scenic regions, the Panorama Route refers to the escarpment in Mpumalanga Province, where the Drakensberg mountains separate the Highveld from the Lowveld to the east. It's easy to see why it's such a famous tourist attraction; the area is replete with stunning waterfalls, gorgeous vistas, and natural phenomena, as well as a breath-taking canyon. On this full day tour you will visit such iconic attractions as the Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and God's Window. You also have the chance to explore local towns and enjoy scenic viewpoints along the route, before returning to your lodge in the evening in time for dinner.

Today, you'll spend another full day in Kruger National Park, departing around 05:00 for an exhilarating safari. Enjoy unparalleled sightings of the Big 5 and other unforgettable wildlife encounters. Immerse yourself in the abundance and beauty of the Kruger bush before returning to your lodge for a relaxing evening and a hearty dinner. Bottled water will be provided during your safari.

On your last morning, you have the choice to unwind at the lodge for the day or join an optional 3hr morning safari adventure (additional R1350). After breakfast you will take a shuttle back to OR Tambo International Airport for your departure.
