Your adventure starts with an early pick-up in Johannesburg or Pretoria, followed by the 4 to 5-hour drive to Madikwe Safari Lodge. After a late lunch upon arrival, a short rest, and high tea around 15:00 or 15:30 (winter and summer), you will depart on your first game drive in an open safari vehicle. Experience a spectacular African sunset while relaxing with a sundowner and after the first stars start to appear watch out for predators like lion, leopard and both spotted and brown hyena, as well as porcupines, bush babies, honey badgers and other interesting nocturnal animals. Back at the lodge, dinner awaits.
Enjoy a hot drink and rusks before your sunrise drives start around 06:00 (summer) or 07:00 (winter). Enjoy some coffee, Amarula and traditional South African rusks and muffins on the drives while watching the sun rise over the bush. Be back at the lodge in time for brunch. After brunch enjoy some relaxation or participate in an optional activity. After high tea around 15:00 or 15:30 (winter and summer), you will depart on your game drives in an open safari vehicle. Experience a spectacular African sunset while relaxing with a sundowner and after the first stars start to appear watch out for predators like lion, leopard and both spotted and brown hyena, as well as porcupines, bush babies, honey badgers and other interesting nocturnal animals. Back at the lodge, dinners await.
