Etali Safari Lodge offers a serene and luxurious stay in 8 luxury suites. These suites are designed to enhance your privacy and encourage ultimate relaxation with outdoor plunge pools, expansive decks, indoor or outdoor showers and complimentary Wi-Fi. Comfortable extra-long beds promise restful nights, while cosy fireplaces add warmth on cool evenings. Guests can often spot wildlife right from their decks. Suite 5 is specially adapted for guests with mobility challenges. Each suite also sports air conditioning, a ceiling fan, wood-burning fireplace and a drinks and beverage station. The family suite offers two back-to-back rooms with an expansive shared deck, swimming pool and private lapa area, as well as all the other amenities of the luxury suites.

You will be picked up from your preferred location in either Johannesburg or Pretoria in a comfortable vehicle for a private transfer to Etali, a drive of about 4.5 – 5 hours, to arrive in time for lunch. After a short rest and high tea on the lodge’s main deck, your 3-hour long afternoon safari starts at 16:00 (in winter) or 16:30 (in summer). During the drive you will stop for drinks and snacks while watching the sunset. After sundowners, the drive continues into the night for you to experience nocturnal animals by spotlight. Upon your return to the lodge, dinner is served under the stars and your bed beckons.
Your 3-hour morning safaris start at 06:00 in winter and 05:30 in summer. Watch the sun rise while searching for wildlife and stop for morning coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and snacks mid-way through your safari. Back at the lodge breakfast awaits, after which you can relax at the pool or be spoiled at the wellness centre until lunch is served. Alternatively, you can do a guided bush walk at a comfortable pace. Walks are usually done after breakfast, for as long or short as the group would like. Walks are available to guests over 16 and those 60 and older with a medical certificate. After high tea on the lodge’s main deck, a 3-hour long afternoon safari starts at 16:00 (in winter) or 16:30 (in summer). During the drives you will stop for drinks and snacks to enjoy the sunset. After sundowners, the drives continue into the night in search of nocturnal animals by spotlight. Upon your return to the lodge, dinners are served under the stars and your bed beckons.
Your 3-hour morning safari starts just before dawn (at 06:00 in winter and 05:30 in summer), to watch the sun rise while looking for wildlife. Mid-way through your safari, you will stop for morning coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and snacks. Back at the lodge a fresh breakfast awaits, after which you will pack and depart on the journey back to the city. You will be dropped off at your preferred location in Johannesburg or Pretoria.
