Itinerary

Day 1 - Your Safari Begins

5:30 AM - 6:30 AM: Comfortable pickup from Johannesburg in an air-conditioned vehicle owned and operated by MoAfrika Tours. Enjoy a quick comfort stop for beverages, snacks, and toilet use during the 2 to 2.5-hour drive.

9:00 AM: Arrive at Pilanesberg and embark on a 3-hour morning game drive in our superior open vehicles, fully operated by MoAfrika Tours and led by top-tier rangers headhunted for their expertise. Our radio-linked communication ensures prime wildlife sightings, such as the Big Five!

12:00 PM: Arrive at Tlou Tented Safari Camp (approximately 4 km from the park gate) for a delicious lunch and check-in. Unwind, enjoy the campfire, or explore the surroundings.

4:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Join an open-vehicle sunset game drive, conducted by MoAfrika Tours in superior open vehicles, chasing golden sunsets and wildlife magic in vehicles better than those of most lodges. Return for a mouth-watering African dinner at the camp. Includes: Lunch, dinner

Day 2 - Sunrise and Sunset Safari

Early Morning (5:30 AM - 8:30 AM): Rise early for an exhilarating
3-hour morning game drive, fully operated by MoAfrika Tours in
superior open vehicles, guided by our elite rangers and enhanced
by radio contact for real-time animal tracking. Return around 8:30
AM for a hearty breakfast.

Morning/Daytime: Spend the day relaxing at Tlou Tented Safari Camp, soaking in the natural ambiance, enjoying the boma, or
opting for a short ranger-led walk (subject to availability). Time to
unwind, read, or connect with nature.

4:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Embark on a sunset game drive in superior
open vehicles, conducted by MoAfrika Tours, including a special
30-minute segment using night spotlights to spot nocturnal wildlife
such as leopards, hyenas, or owls. Return for a delicious African
dinner at the camp. Includes: Breakfast, dinner.

Day 3 - Pilanesberg Safari

Option 1 (Standard):
Early Morning (5:30 AM - 8:30 AM): Rise early for a 3-hour morning game drive, fully operated by MoAfrika Tours in superior open vehicles, guided by our elite rangers with radio contact for optimal wildlife sightings. Return around 8:30 AM for a hearty breakfast.

Morning/Daytime: Relax at Tlou Tented Safari Camp, enjoying the serene surroundings, the boma, or a ranger-led walk (subject to availability). Perfect for leisure or reflecting on your safari experiences.

4:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Join a sunset game drive in superior open vehicles, conducted by MoAfrika Tours, featuring a 30-minute night spotlight segment to enhance nocturnal wildlife sightings. Return for a final African dinner at the camp.

Option 2 (Full-Day Safari, if requested by prior day):
Morning (9:00 AM - 3:00 PM): Sleep in and enjoy a full-day safari in superior open vehicles, conducted by MoAfrika Tours, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Guided by our elite rangers with radio contact, this 6-hour drive maximizes wildlife sightings, including the Big Five, with a packed lunch provided. Return to Tlou Tented Safari Camp for downtime before dinner.

Evening: Relax at the camp, enjoying the boma or surroundings,  followed by a delicious African dinner. Includes: Breakfast, dinner (packed lunch included with full-day safari option if chosen).

Note: Guests must inform MoAfrika Tours by the day prior (Day 2) to
opt for the full-day safari instead of the standard morning and sunset
drives.

Day 4 - Sunrise Safari and Departure

Morning (9 AM): After breakfast, depart on your final safari.Fully operated by MoAfrika Tours in superior open vehicles and guided by our elite rangers with radio contact for optimal wildlife sightings. 

3:00 PM: Depart Pilanesberg in a MoAfrika Tours vehicle, with a quick comfort stop for beverages, snacks, and toilet use during the 2 to 2.5-hour drive back to Johannesburg, arriving between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Need an airport drop-off by 6:00 PM? Provide your flight details to our team!
