Tsholo Safari Lodge sits in a private corner of Black Rhino on the western side of Pilanesberg. The stay is wilderness without the noise: refined suites, a serious kitchen, a proper spa, and game drives that do not arrive with a diesel engine.
Days follow a classic safari rhythm. Sunrise drive, unhurried lodge time, sunset drive, then dinner in the restaurant or boma.

09h00 – 12h00 · Open-vehicle morning drive inside Pilanesberg National Park
On arrival, guests transfer into a MoAfrika open safari vehicle for a three-hour morning drive inside Pilanesberg National Park. This is the public park — the opposite side of the crater from Black Rhino — so guests see a different stretch of Pilanesberg before they reach the lodge. Big 5 and plains game across volcanic hills, dams and open grassland, with a MoAfrika ranger.
13h00 – 14h00 · Transfer to Tsholo · Check-in and lunch
After the morning drive, MoAfrika transfer guests across to the Black Rhino side and on to Tsholo Safari Lodge. Check-in and welcome lunch between 13h00 and 14h00. Settle into the suite.
14h00 – 15h30 · Unhurried lodge time

±16h00 – 19h00 · Sunset game drive — Black Rhino / Greater Pilanesberg
Afternoon / evening drive from the lodge in Tsholo’s electric safari vehicles — silent tracking of elephant, lion, leopard, rhino and buffalo on the Black Rhino side of the reserve. Sundowner stop as the light drops. Return to the lodge after dark.
±19h30 · Dinner
Seasonal menu by Stellenbosch chefs. Restaurant or boma, weather permitting. Overnight at Tsholo
±05h00 – 05h30 · Wake-up · tea, coffee and rusks
Light knock and hot drinks before departure. Dress in layers — Pilanesberg mornings are cool even in summer.
