Your pick-up time on the first day may vary depending on your schedule. Upon arrival at Maun airport, your ranger and guide will meet you, and you'll head to Boteti Tented Safari Lodge, a 20-minute journey. After a quick check-in and a briefing on safari activities with a complimentary drink, you'll have time for lunch or a swim before a two hour Mokoro safari on the Boteti River, showcasing a stunning sunset and wildlife like crocodiles and hippos. Your experienced guide will highlight river features and wildlife during the Mokoro adventure. Afterward, relax, enjoy an open-fire dinner with wine, catered to dietary needs, and spend the night in a luxurious safari tent.
At dawn, wake up to fresh tea or coffee and biscuits before starting your full-day adventure, either a Moremi game reserve safari or an Okavango Delta mokoro safari. After a thrilling day, unwind on the wooden deck with your favorite drinks and watch the sun set over the Boteti River. Dinner under the stars in the open Boma awaits before you retire to your luxurious safari tent for the night.
Full Day Mokoro Safari:
Embark on a Mokoro safari, navigating the Delta's reed waterways. Learn from your Bayei guide about the area's history, plant life, and cultural significance. Enjoy a packed lunch on an island and a nature walk to delve deeper into the ecosystem. Return to the lodge around 16:00.
Full Day Moremi Safari:
Experience the diverse wildlife of Moremi from 6:00 to 18:00, including nearly 500 bird species. Get close to animals in an open game vehicle designed for immersive sightings. Your ranger will share insights on nature and wildlife behavior. Enjoy lunch at scenic stops during the safari.
A quieter morning awaits you after a lot of activities and travelling, allowing you the opportunity to once again enjoy the lodge and its facilities after a bush breakfast. Later in the morning, you will get your transfer back to Maun airport or your choice of drop-off point if you want to be elsewhere in the town of Maun.
