Fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg and be met by your friendly guide for transport to the exclusive Kapama River Camp. You should check into your lodge early enough to freshen up before heading out on your first game drive in the Kapama reserve of Greater Kruger National Park. Animals of many kinds, including the “Big 5”, are frequently spotted. All of your meals, drinks (both soft and alcoholic), and superb service are included in your stay at the Kapama River Camp, a breathtaking lodge which offers a level of luxury and game viewing opportunities on par with the best that the Sabi Sands has to offer.
Kapama River Lodge, found within Kapama Game Reserve, provides a comfortable blend of high-end amenities and plentiful sleeping space in 64 bedrooms. The northern Drakensberg mountains provide a breath-taking background to this contemporary private wildlife lodge in the Greater Kruger National Park area. The lavish apartments are equipped with modern conveniences and boast unobstructed views of the abundant wildlife in the game reserve. There is a pool, a lounge, a bar, a library, a curio shop, a multifunctional event space, and a boma for guests to enjoy. Meals are served in the style of a buffet, with a wide selection of freshly cooked dishes from across Africa.

Guests can fly into Hoedspruit Eastgate Airport from Johannesburg. We will also meet you at Eastgate for transportation to and from Kapama Game Reserve. After a light meal and some time to clean up, you will go on a game drive deep within the reserve with your guide and spotter. Along the route, you will pull over for a drink and some fresh air as the sun sets behind the Drakensberg Mountains. The nocturnal animals of the jungle emerge as dusk approaches. A variety of unique species may be noticed on the way back to the resort at night. The skilled tracker will sweep the landscape with a flashlight that illuminates animal eyes. Arrival at the lodge is usually around 19:00, in time for a delicious lunch.
The second and final day of your safari will begin with an early morning wildlife drive and, hopefully, some unforgettable sightings. After the drive, you will have breakfast at your resort before being transferred to the Eastgate airport for your return flight.
