Nestled within a grove of tamboti trees, Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is a lonely bush camp reminiscent of the Africa of Ernest Hemingway. Big animals including elephants, rhinos, lions, and hippopotamuses can regularly be seen in the reserve. Between meals and game drives, visitors can unwind at the pool or go on guided walking safaris into the dense forest to observe the passing wildlife. Two daily game drives are offered in specialised 4×4 safari cars. The rangers would gladly share with you their extensive knowledge of everything that grows and lives in the area. Morning game drives take you deep into the Manyeleti concession and typically begin at half past five in the morning. You will pause the drive for a (much-needed) cup of coffee and some light fare.

The Manyeleti Game Reserve is reached by travelling east on the N4 freeway from the Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Bus Terminal and passing through the Mpumalanga and Gauteng Highvelds. The departure time is 07:00. You will stop for refreshments along the route, and the drive could take six or seven hours. After arriving at the lodge, you should have enough time to rest and freshen up before leaving for your first afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. You will head back to the resort around dusk, when dinner will be waiting for you. You spend the night in opulent accommodation at Mantobeni Tented Camp, which includes dinner.
Get up early, have a hot coffee, and eat some rusks before heading out on your morning game drives to view some nocturnal species still out hunting and to catch the dawn. You can relax for the remainder of the days after returning for late breakfasts at the resort. Around 16:00 is when your afternoon game drives will start, and they will return after twilight, just in time for dinner by the fire. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all included in your package for your opulent lodging at Mantobeni Tented Camp.
You will rise early on the last day of your stay, have a hot coffee and some rusks, and then head out for the last game drive. You witness another African dawn and then head back to the resort for breakfast before making your way to Johannesburg. You should arrive at the drop-off location at about 17:00. Breakfast at the lodge is included in your deal today.
