MoAfrika Tours now offers an exciting new 3-day nDzuti Safari Camp in Maseke Game Reserve in the Balule North area of the Greater Kruger Park. This camp is operated by Wildlife Encounters and provides the ideal venue from where to watch the famous Big 5 and the other African creatures or depart on open safari vehicles for game drives in the morning and in the afternoon. You can even walk around with an armed ranger to get even closer to nature here. The Maseke Game Reserve is named after the Maseke people of Ba-Phalaborwa who was given ownership of four properties in 2014. The return of the land was dependent on the condition that the farms be preserved in their original state as protected zones. Today, Maseke is an integral part of the Greater Kruger Park, and a crucial roleplayer in the conservation of African wildlife.

Accommodation

Accommodation at nDzuti is provided in nDzuti Tented Bush Camp, four two room chalets, and luxury tents.

The nDzuti Safari Camp was established on the shady slopes of a koppie, which is the term used for rocky outcrops in Africa. In the native Shangaan language, the word “nDzuti” can mean either “shadow” or “shade.”

The glistening swimming pool is the focal point of the camp. It is situated on the terrace so that guests can watch animals approach to the waterhole from the pool. The central space and the reed boma are finished off with a dining pavilion and a thatched bar.

The garden is not fenced and is equipped with a small splash pool, hammocks, and a thatched sitting area that is comfortable even when the temperature is high.

The four luxury tents with views over the waterhole are brand new additions, and they provide guests the opportunity to have an unforgettable experience by sleeping under canvas. A touch of luxury was added with amenities such as en suite toilets, doors rather than zips with flaps, and air conditioning.

The beds in the tents are comfortable and come with bedside tables, baggage racks, and mats to round off the interior. The modest patio is furnished with two locally crafted and hand-made “Morris chairs” and a table. A flush toilet, basin, and a shower are fitted in the outdoor bathroom next to the tent.

The four chalets evenly placed apart from one another in an indigenous garden are spacious and generously spaced; each of them can accommodate four people, making them an excellent option for families. The chalets offer a refreshingly cool and comfortable environment year-round.

Each chalet has a lounge, patio, and two separate bedrooms with en suite bathrooms fitted with a shower and a bathtub.

A central lounge, which features a tea and coffee station, wildlife prints, and doors leading into the opposing bedrooms, is accessed through French doors. Each of the cabins has its own path that leads to the main dining pavilion and swimming pool.
