2 Day Classic Chalet Kruger Safari

If you only have a few days to spare, a 2-day Kruger National Park classic chalet safari is a fantastic way to experience a real African safari.

Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in South Africa, in fact, in all of Africa. The Big 5 (lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and buffaloes) are just some of the many animals that call this place home. Hundreds of other mammal species and numerous bird species, including vultures, eagles, and storks, are also found in the park.

Kruger National Park has everything you could want from an African safari and visiting the park with a knowledgeable guide is the best way to make the most of your time there and see everything you came for.

The most well-known wildlife reserve in South Africa is home to an astoundingly diverse array of animals and plants.

To add to the authenticity of your safari experience, you can spend your evenings relaxing under the stars in front of your comfortable chalet.

Two-day classic chalet safaris with the Kruger Safari Co. are a common way for visitors to take in the region’s breath taking scenery.

Accommodation

Classic chalets with two single beds are provided for guests at Pretoriuskop Rest Camp, the oldest rest camp in Kruger National Park.

Pretoriuskop is named after Willem Pretorius, a Voortrekker who participated in Carl Trichardt’s 1848 expedition to Delagoa Bay. He is buried close to the camp.

The southern part of the park, where Pretoriuskop Rest Camp is, is home to an abundance of plant and animal life as well as a wide variety of birds.

It is in this area that you will find the greatest concentration of White Rhinos.

Linens and blankets from SANParks are used to make up the twin beds, towels are provided, and there are clean shared bathrooms for guests to use.

We cook in our own private kitchen at the camp and either eat in the open-air dining tent or, if it rains, at the camp restaurant.

A Park store at the campsite sells drinks and snacks.

Pretoriuskop’s large swimming pool is well-known for being constructed around a hulking piece of granite.

Cell phone reception is good, but there is no Wi-Fi at the chalets.
