Tremisana Game Lodge is located in Balule Private Nature Reserve which is a protected wildlife area that falls within the Greater Kruger National Park in northern South Africa. Balule is 23000 square kilometres of pristine bushveld that stretches along the length of the Olifants River. The reserve is unfenced and game roams freely between Balule and the Kruger National Park. Tremisana Game Lodge is less than an hour’s drive from the Kruger Park.

Begin your journey with a pick-up from your hotel in Johannesburg or O.R. Tambo Airport. Travel through the Highveld grasslands to reach Tremisana Game Lodge in Kruger Park. Experience a 4-hour Sunset Drive in an open Landcruiser, offering your first chance to witness Africa's wildlife and plant life. Enjoy the stunning African sunset, and after dark, use a spotlight to spot nocturnal animals. Dinner will be a BUSH BBQ at the Marula Tree Boma. Afterward, continue your Night Drive and stay overnight in en suite, airconditioned chalets.
Early morning wake-up for hot drinks & rusks, before setting off to a remote corner of Balule Game Reserve for a 4-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River with an armed safari guide. Enjoy the sights and sounds of a real bushveld experience while keeping a keen eye on the thick bush for the Big Five and an abundance of antelope, predators and indigenous birds. Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for a late breakfast and refreshments; relax around the lodge until it’s time to depart for the late afternoon game drive.
Wake up early for a hearty breakfast and then it’s time to depart for a full day safari tour in the Kruger National Park. We enter via Orpen Gate and spend the day exploring the upper-south and central region. Lunch break at a popular Kruger Park rest camp (your own cost). Return to your lodge late afternoon.
Enjoy breakfast and then join your guide for a tour of Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre located on the outskirts of Hoedspruit. The centre cares for injured and orphaned wild animals and birds of prey. The 2- hour excursion includes a photo opportunity with one of the ambassador cheetahs. Return to your lodge midday and relax before it’s time to depart late afternoon for a 3-hour game drive in Balule Game Reserve.
Wake up early and join your guide for your last sunrise game drive in Balule Game Reserve. Enjoy a hearty breakfast before departing midmorning for the return journey to Johannesburg, travelling via the famous Panorama Route. Arrive in Johannesburg late afternoon (approx 17h00).
