Tremisana Game Lodge is located in Balule Private Nature Reserve which is a protected wildlife area that falls within the Greater Kruger National Park in the northern region of South Africa. The Greater Kruger is made up of a collection of private game farms which are unfenced and collectively share an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. It’s a premier Big 5 wildlife destination in an area renowned for its outstanding biodiversity.
Tremisana Game Lodge is a founding member of Balule Private Nature Reserve and maintains much of its original warmth and charm. The charming chalets are ensuite and air-conditioned and fully equipped for comfort and convenience. Guests dine under the stars at the lodge boma.
MARC’S CAMP
12 rustic treehouses, 2 guest houses and Marc’s Adventure Camp, sleeping up to 50 guests
Marc’s Camp is located in Motlala Game Reserve which is home to 3 of the Big 5 (rhino, buffalo and leopard), an abundance of antelope and prolific birdlife. It offers a selection of guest houses, treehouses and an adventure camp and delivers a delightfully authentic safari experience. Tucked in a grove of indigenous bushveld trees, each unit has a panoramic view of Breakfast Dam on the perennial Klaserie River.
Marc’s Camp is located adjacent to Cheetah Inn in the 3 000-hectare Motlala Game Reserve, which falls within the Greater Kruger National Park. It’s ideally located to the iconic Kruger Park and the major tourist attractions in the Hoedspruit region.
A swimming pool and open boma lie in the heart of Marc’s Camp, which is surrounded by rugged bushveld. It’s an unfenced safari destination and wild animals roam freely through the camp. It’s a completely original safari experience; and once you get used to the rustic nature of Marc’s Camp, you’ll fall in love with it.
Guests are collected from OR Tambo International Airport or a pre-arranged hotel/guest lodge within the city precinct of Johannesburg or Pretoria. The route to the Kruger National Park in the Mpumalanga Province takes you from the wide-open spaces of the Highveld, down the escarpment and through the scenic Lowveld region.
Stopover for refreshments along the way (own expense). Arrive at your safari lodge in Balule Private Game Reserve mid-day; settle in, freshen up and rest. Depart at late afternoon for a sunset safari tour of Balule Private Nature Reserve.
Overnight at Tremisana Game Lodge. Guests are treated to a star-lit bush braai.

We leave Balule as the sun is rising to meet an armed game ranger for an exciting 4-hour guided bush walk along the Olifants River, which is located in the Greater Kruger. Return to Tremisana Game Lodge for brunch. Enjoy the rest of the day until it’s time to depart after High Tea for a 3-hour sunset game drive, travelling from Balule to Motlala Game Reserve.

Wake up early and set off with a professional safari guide for full-day safari tour in the Kruger National Park. The day is broken with lunch at a popular Kruger rest camp. Return late afternoon to your camp in Motlala Game Reserve.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing for Hoedspruit where we’ll spend the morning meeting the wild ambassadors of Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. You’ll get up close to lions, leopards, cheetah and hyena and meet an incredible array of birds of prey that have been rescued and treated by the wonderful team at Moholoholo.
Return to Motlala Game Reserve mid-day; relax around the camp until it’s time to depart for a late-afternoon game drive.

You get to spend another full-day exploring the Kruger National Park in the company of a professional game ranger. Lunch at a popular Kruger rest camp, where you can stock up on drinks and snacks for the rest of your trip and buy souvenirs. Return to camp late afternoon.

Wake up early for a guided sunrise bush walk with an armed game ranger. Return to camp for breakfast and pack-up, be ready to depart mid-morning for the return trip to Johannesburg. We travel via the scenic Panorama Route, stopping off to see the Three Rondavels that overlook the Blyde River Canyon. Stop for a bite to eat and refreshments along the way.
Arrive late-afternoon (17h00) in Johannesburg; drop-off at OR Tambo International Airport or a hotel or guest lodge (pre-arranged with MoAfrika Tours). Please check timing before confirming a connecting international or domestic flight.
