Motswiri Private Safari Lodge is in the North West Province. It is on the western side of the 75 000-acre, malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, which is home to the Big Five.

Motswiri Private Safari Lodge is, as its name suggests, an exclusive lodge that gives guests a personal experience of the bush that cannot be found in bigger places.

Today, the game reserve is home to the Big 5, and you can add the African Wild Dog and the Cheetah to make it the “Super 7.” People have seen more than 250 different kinds of birds in the park.

The park is easy to get to, and there are many lodges and camps for people to choose from. The visitor also helps the area stay healthy and keep its economy going. Investing in the area and making new jobs is a step towards creating new business opportunities and getting rid of poverty.

Putting people at the centre of conservation efforts is the most important thing to think about when planning the park’s growth and improvement and Madikwe Game Reserve has become one of South Africa’s success stories.

The “Heritage Park” conservation corridor will connect the Madikwe Game Reserve and the well-known Pilanesberg National Park. This is a new thing for both parks. The idea behind the project is to create a better place for ecotourism by making the migration area bigger.

Motswiri Private Safari Lodge gives guests an exclusive safari experience that cannot be found anywhere else. The lodge has some of the best views in Madikwe and is peaceful because it is surrounded by old trees, mostly Leadwoods, under which the main building, five luxury bush villas, and the Luxury Family Villa are located.

The Lodge was built to hold only 16 guests, and guests can either book the lodge as individuals or book the whole place for themselves.

The main lodge looks out over a busy private waterhole that the big game in the area likes to visit. The lodge is beautifully set up, and the main area has separate places to sit, eat, and drink. Each room has its own fireplace, where a roaring fire will keep you warm in the winter.

Accommodation

Five opulent Bush Villas are available for visitors’ use as accommodations. In order to guarantee that you are comfortable at all times, regardless of the temperature outside, each villa is equipped with air conditioning, a gas fireplace, and ceiling fans.

Retractable doors and windows have been included into the design of the Bush Villas in order to create an atmosphere that is simultaneously indoors and outside. Take use of the outdoor rock shower and the wooden deck that goes around the entire property to fully submerge yourself in the natural setting.

Each of the Luxury Bush Villas features a huge bedroom, a private terrace with breath-taking views, en-suite bathrooms with enormous corner bathtubs, a private toilet, double basins, and a private outdoor shower. When you add in the double-sided gas fire pits, air-conditioning/ceiling fans, and coffee stations, you get an experience in the wilderness that is unrivalled by any other.

In addition to the Bush Villa, Motswiri’s one-of-a-kind Family Villa provides visitors with an opulent, exclusive safari experience that can accommodate up to six people. The Family Villa features a private boma, a big wooden observation balcony, and a private plunge pool for its guests.

You may have tea under the sky, or you can sit by the fire and enjoy the warmth of an African sunset. You are about to be presented with the ideal balance of freedom and opulence.

Each of the three rooms in our Luxury Family Villa is equipped with its own air conditioning system, private en-suite bathroom, and outdoor shower. In addition to this, guests staying in the Family Villa have access to a private sitting space that opens up onto their own deck and plunge pool.

Facilities

The main lodge is wonderfully furnished and features distinct sitting, dining, and lounge bar areas, each of which comes equipped with its own crackling fireplace throughout the winter months.

Spend your time at the main part of the lodge relaxing by the rim-flow pool that looks out over the active waterhole, sipping a cocktail on the main deck in the shadow of the Leadwood trees (which are called Motswiri trees in Tswana), or just passing the time in the outdoor lounge and bar area.

In the dining room, beneath the Leadwood, or in the boma in front of a crackling fire, guests may enjoy delectable dishes prepared with the freshest local ingredients.

Wi-Fi is available at the lodge.

Activities

Guests at Motswiri Private Safari Lodge are able to experience everything that Madikwe Game Reserve has to offer while staying at the lodge. Take advantage of the wildlife drives conducted by the experienced guides.

The Madikwe Game Reserve is regarded for having some of the greatest opportunities to watch wild animals in all of South Africa. The reserve has a total area of 75,000 hectares. Enjoy outstanding general game, magnificent bird life, and frequent sightings of the coveted “Big 5” – lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and black and white rhinoceroses – on your safari.

On the specially designed Land Cruiser game viewing vehicle, rangers lead twice-daily game drives and safaris, during which they share their extensive knowledge of the surrounding wilderness with the guests in a manner that is tailored to the level of experience that each individual traveller brings to the experience.
